Smooshing two days into one post; spring semester just started and is already promising to get hectic fast, but I'm still hoping to complete as many days of the challenge as I can.
Day 6:
Leave feedback for a fanwork. Or multiple fanworks. It can be as simple as I liked this to a detailed list of all the things you loved about the fanwork. The key is to leave some sort of feedback. (This will also double as my mini-rec post, since I skipped out on that day of the challenge.)
I left comments on three fics, two old favorites I never got around to commenting on before and one just-completed story I've been enjoying:
Like Tired Kites by paperclipbitch (Daredevil): My favorite Marci-centric character study, period. It does a fantastic job of showing both her hard edges and softer side. As a bonus, it's short enough to read all the way through in one sitting.
I am Condemned (I am Damned) by DoreyG (Daredevil): A post-season 1 conversation between Wilson Fisk and Daredvil that can be read as either gen or pre-slash; Fisk's voice is excellent.
like stars through the soul by TolkienGirl (Star Wars: The Force Awakens): A Reylo Scarlet Pimpernel AU! They're so many fun period details in this story and just the right amount of romantic tropey goodness. Also, BB-8 is a white-and-ginger Jack Russel terrier; that alone was enough to get me reading.
Day 8:
In your own space, share a favorite piece of original canon (a TV episode, a song, a favorite interview, a book, a scene from a movie, etc) and explain why you love it so much.
Honestly, I'll fall in love with any piece of original canon that gives me an unexpected twist, especially if that unexpected twist comes in the form of friendships/romances/any kind of relationship. My best examples from last year are the Yondu redemption arc in GOTG Vol. 2 (where we got to see that his relationship with Peter was far more loving than either of them let on) and Steve's moments of damn good babysitting in Stranger Things.

Date: 2018-01-10 11:11 pm (UTC)(Also, I love the icon, that's adorable (his horns!). I don't think I mentioned but I'm a Daredevil fan too--I'm doing an S1 rewatch so I can watch S2 for the first time. ...next up is Nelson vs. Murdock. Wish me luck, or at least a strong heart.)

Date: 2018-01-11 12:24 am (UTC)Oh, Nelson vs. Murdock is such a good episode, but it's hard to watch, and especially to rewatch, since you know what's coming and just sort of have to brace for it. And S2 is glorious; S1 hooked me into the show but S2 was really what made me fall in love with it. :)

Date: 2018-01-11 03:09 am (UTC)I know enough about S2 to be looking forward to the Karen & Frank interaction and dreading what happens to Matt&Foggy :( It's a good thing I enjoy tragedies.
As to the fics, oh man, that would be really amazing of you. I really appreciate it. And feel completely free to blab to me both about Reylo fics and about Reylo, in general; I'm definitely from the talk-it-to-death school of fandom appreciation.
